Meera Desai is vocal faculty at The Goa Jazz Academy, and is an accomplished singer, songwriter and performer who has been trained with both the Indian Classical and Western music idioms. Above all else, Meera is a wonderful, encouraging and very passionate teacher!

1) Who is this for?

For vocalists and instrumentalists who have some experience with the major scale. If you can sing the major scale but have trouble immediately singing difficult melodies, this workshop is for you.

2) Learning objectives:

By the end of the workshop, you will have some great tools to help you confidently rely on your voice to digest and transcribe melodies.

3) What you will be able to do with what you learn:

1. To be a more conscious musician and develop and appreciation for ear training

2. To identify melodic content in music more effectively and communicate this more effectively with other musicians
